Leoness Cellars

Our vision and philosophy at Leoness is simple - far high quality vineyards, produce award-winning wines and accommodate our members and guests with warm hospitality.

Nestled in the rolling hills and vineyards of Temecula's wine country, Leoness Cellars offers a warm, enchanting setting where visitors can enjoy great wines, spectacular views and wonderful times with family and friends. Leoness Cellars was founded in 2002 by Gary Winder and Mike Rennie, who together have over 80 years of agriculture and grape-growing experience in the Temecula Valley. Their combined experience has led to a true understanding of growing wine grapes of the highest quality; grapes which are concentrated, balanced and ripe, ultimately producing wines of incredible depth and flavor.
Among the wines produced at Leoness Cellars are Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Merlot, Muscat Canelli and Cinsault Port, as well as small lots of other specially selected varietals. Each of our wines is carefully crafted to preserve the subtle flavors and nuances of the varietal. Our red wines, along with our Chardonnay, are aged for an extended period of time in a combination of small French and American Oak barrels, adding softness and complexity to the wines, while our white wines are fermented slowly at cool temperatures, helping the wines to retain the fresh fruit flavors of the grape.
The Restaurant at Leoness, came into fruition in 2012. Recently rated #1 Winery Restaurant by USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice and rated Best Restaurant of the IE for four consecutive years, The Restaurant offers an exceptional al fresco, French country dining experience with a full service menu featuring items made 100% from scratch in our kitchen. With seasonal selections ranging from vibrant salads to entrees packed with an array of complimenting flavors, including seafood, pastas and unique flatbreads, to decadent desserts that will leave you craving more. The Restaurant’s success is fueled by a passion for serving savory dishes that are second to none and that pair perfectly with Leoness wines. It’s no wonder why visitors truly enjoy not only the wine tasting experience, but the dining experience, as well.

We invite you to spend some time at Leoness to truly enjoy the charm and spectacular vineyard views our property has to offer. Taste the Leoness wines which display our passion and commitment toward our craft in our unique Tasting Room, with enchanting architecture of wood paneling, dark wood stained furnishing and warm lighting. Have a tasteful dining experience at The Restaurant having some of our savory French fries to a perfectly paired Charcuterie and Cheese Board to Cornish Game Hen that’s oven roasted with shallots, garlic and cream served with baby potatoes, asparagus, sherry vinegar and tarragon sauce.
