Wiens Family Cellars produces a broad range of California , gold-medal winning, estate-farmed varietal wines for the enjoyment of people who appreciate a down-to-earth family lifestyle. Wiens Family Cellars is owned by four Wiens brothers and supported by 46 members of the extended family. What began as a family hobby in the early days has turned into a successful family business and the new tasting room opened in October of 2006. The family looks forward to hosting weddings, winemaker dinners, and other special events in their barrel room and event pavilion of the new facility.
"Making wine is a family thing," says Doug Wiens, winemaker and viticulturist for Wiens Family Cellars. "We love spending time together and we have amazing cooperation regardless of whether the gathering is for work or play." "We have a large and tightly-knit family with a broad range of talents, all contributing to the success of our business," says Doug. "We enjoy good food, the company of friends and fine wines. Our goal is to create a place where people feel right at home - part of our family.
