Lush picnic grounds bordered by tulips of vibrant colors mark the charming entrance to VR La Cereza Vineyard & Winery. The tasting room is European in flavor and features VR and La Cereza premium wines. The novice and experienced wine drinker alike will enjoy traditional greats like Chardonnay and Zinfandel, a flirty Raspberry Flavored Champagne, and unique and distinguished varietals such as a Gold and Silver Medal-winning Grenache and a multi-Gold Medal-winning Gewurztraminer that earned Best in State and Best White Wine of Competition. Picnic grounds overlook beautiful vineyards where guests are invited to enjoy gourmet cheeses and a selection of deli items and wine.
Van Roekel Vineyards was founded in 1994 by Bud and Maurice Van Roekel as an addition to the successful wine business they created with Maurice Car’rie Winery. Today the winery is run by the Linn Family. Both Maurice Car’rie and VR La Cereza Wineries have their own identity, label and varietal wine list but share the same viticulturist and winemaker as well as crushing and fermentation facilities. Winemaker Gus Vizgirda produces premium boutique wines in smaller quantities at VR/ La Cereza.
