October Events in Temecula Valley Wine Country

“Dog Day Sunday” at Carol’s Restaurant

Bring your well mannered, dolled up doggies for a fun afternoon of music, food, wine, prizes and special guests.  Allen Riedel, author of Best Hikes with Dogs in Southern California will be available to sign copies of his book, meet Max the Golden Retriever, Idyllwild’s 1st Mayor, step into the mobile dog studio for a special photo and enter your dog into the costume contest.  Prizes will be awarded for the cutest, scariest, silliest, most glamorous and most handsome doggies.

A Wine Country Hot Dog bar featuring world famous Pink’s Hot Dogs, along with all of the fixings, will be available for purchase. Humans without dogs are also welcome.

Celebrate fine wines with traditional clambake seafoods, served outdoors with breathtaking views of Temecula Valley Wine Country.  The event will be held at Bel Vino’s outdoor concert venue and will also feature the live music of Shoot 4 Tuezday.

As a student and guest, you will enjoy a three-course meal prepared with fine Briar Rose wines.  You will learn to prepare easy meals with an authentic wine country style.  Enjoy a Celery, Parsley & Prosciutto Salad, Cinnamon-Pancetta Carbonara with Homemade Pasta and Creme Brulee.  All participants will receive printed recipe cards, a sampling of the food prepared and fine Briar Rose wine.

Join Callaway as they celebrate the end of harvest with a special winemaker dinner.  Their winemaker, Craig Larson, and Meritage at Callaway’s Executive Chef, Mike Henry, are collaborating to bring you a truly exquisite and unique culinary feast.  Tickets include a sparkling wine reception with winemaker Craig Larson, a 5 course menu with each course paired with a Callaway wine, and a special gift to commemorate the dinner.

Falkner Winery

Free Jazz on Sundays

Performances will be 3 hours beginning at noon and going until 3:00pm and will be held in their outside lawn area adjacent to the tasting room.   As the name indicates, every Sunday afternoon live jazz performances will be available to winery customers at no charge and with no reservations required. Chairs and tables will be provided for the audience.  Freshly prepared barbequed food and wine by the glass or bottle are available for each performance.

VIP Vertical Tasting
