Announcement: Facebook Cork Contest Winner!

Throughout the month of March, Temecula Valley invited you to enter our Cork Sculpture Contest on Facebook by voting for your  favorite cork creation for a chance to win two tickets to our popular Harvest barrel tasting weekend in November – this  includes tastings at over 30 wineries, a value of over $100!

Your favorite wineries were asked to build a sculpture made entirely of corks to display for the World of Wine weekend at the beginning of March. The winning winery will be receiving $500!  And that winning winery is … WIENS FAMILY CELLARS! Congratulations, Wiens, on a job well done!

After a random drawing, the winner of the pair of tickets to our Harvest Celebration, our exciting annual event celebrating the end of the crush season in November, is Marichelle Acuna Damasco!

March Facebook Contest – Win two tickets to Harvest Festival!

Thornton Winery Cork Contest Nets Green for Everyone

Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6,2011

Thornton Winery’s Recycled Cork Contest asked artists, cork dorks and interested parties to create original art pieces by using recycled wine corks as the main material. The winner will receive $500 and their art piece will be showcased at Temecula Valley Wine Country’s next big event,WoW (World of Wine Barrel Tasting) Weekend. All WoW Weekend event ticket holders will get to vote for their favorite cork piece in Wine Country, so make sure to get your tickets ASAP!  Most, if not all wineries participating in the WOW event will be showcasing their own cork art, so the competition is sure to be hot, hot, hot.
