“Field to Fork” to benefit local schools

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Temecula Valley slow foodSlow Food Temecula Valley, our local chapter of the international organization devoted to counteract the disappearance of local food traditions and lack of knowledge about where food comes from, is bringing a fantastic event to wine country on May 22nd. “Field To The Fork” will be held at Leonesse Cellars from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and features local cuisine, wines and craft beers made by some of our finest chefs, winemakers and breweries.

For those interested in learning more about the “locavore” movement or just picking up a few tips for gardening or water conservation, the event will feature educational demonstrations from local experts.

“Field to Fork” will benefit garden programs at local Temecula schools, which help kids learn about the origins of food, nutrition and how to make healthy food choices for their bodies and the environment.
